Watch & Discuss: Parkinson’s Dementia vs Typical Age-Related Decline recorded by PMD Alliance

We will watch this PMD Alliance video together online and then have a facilitated discussion after the viewing. In this recorded webinar, Dr. Ospina (Dr. Maria Cristina Ospina, MD is a movement disorder specialist & Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology at the University of Arizona) answers questions from the webinar audience including topics: executive dysfunction, hallucinations, motor vs non-motor function, how the frontal lobe is effected in advanced Parkinson’s, testing for dementia, neuropsych testing, sleep disturbances, and more. This session will not be recorded.


September Open Topic Discussion Forum

As summer comes to a close, we will open the floor for those attending to bring topics to discuss topics, share resources, and more! We welcome both people with Parkinson’s, carepartners/caregivers, and family members to attend.
One topic that has already been suggested, by the community, is to discuss The Parkinson’s Plan book that Dr. Ray Dorsey introduced in his August presentation.


Evening Carepartners Gathering/Discussion

Join us for an evening gathering for carepartners/caregivers to discuss topics suggested by those who attend. This session is facilitated by PSN volunteers with carepartner experience. This session will not be recorded.

Frequently, PSN receives inquiries from those newly diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease, as well as people who are not newly diagnosed, seeking to speak with a fellow Parkinsonian on a one-on-one basis.
 
If you wish to help your fellow Parkinsonians by engaging in a telephone conversation, please let us know!  With your permission, we will provide your telephone number and email address on request.  We will, of course, let you know each time we share this information.
