Privacy

Please be aware that most websites have the technology to collect certain information about those who visit – even without the active participation of the visitor. Information that may be collectible without your knowledge includes your I.P. address – a unique number assigned to your computer or your connection to the Internet. Parkinson Social Network (“PSN”) may collect and use this IP Data to develop statistical information about use of our site.

Additionally, when you register for a PSN event, manually subscribe to our email bulletins, or manually register to follow our blog (collectively “Service Registration”), we may request certain personal information from you. This Collected Information – including but not limited to your name, your telephone number(s), your email address, your physical address, your age bracket, and the nature of your connection to Parkinson’s Disease – is used by us to process your Service Registration and for the purpose of analysis of the demographics of those who make a Service Registration.  The Collected Information will be added to our Constituent Management System which is hosted by MailChimp.  In addition, we may maintain localized copies of this information on the computers used for the conduct of PSN business.  You may, at any time, unsubscribe from our mailings by clicking this link for our unsubscribe form.   

THE COLLECTED INFORMATION WILL NOT BE DISCLOSED TO THIRD PARTIES WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT OR AS MAY BE COMPELLED BY LEGAL OR ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESS, OR TO PROTECT OUR STAFF OR OUR INTERESTS.
