The Osher Lifelong learning Institute at George Mason University satisfies the curious mind. For 30 years, OLLI has enhanced the cultural vitality of the surrounding community with an academic program similar to a liberal arts college. The program began from a desire among retirees to enjoy university level courses, explore interests, and connect socially and intellectually with their peers. Now the institute offers over 600 lecture & discussion courses annually in all curricula: Music, Art, Psychology, Science, Policy, to Current Events and so much more…
Jennifer L. Disano serves as the Executive Director of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at George Mason University (OLLI Mason), a nonprofit membership driven organization with three regional campuses in Northern Virginia offering 600 educational courses per year to over 1200 members, serving retired individuals aged 55 or better. As OLLI Mason is nationally aligned with 125 OLLIs at Universities, she works closely with other OLLIs across the country.
This February we are excited to bring you three interesting and informative speakers to our online Side by Side Support groups and Café events.

Caregiver’s Online Side by Side Support Group* Second Tuesday of each month at 10:00am Next meeting: February 9th at 10:00am Click here to register for this Caregiver Side by Side event Title:Building a Reservoir While Caregiving, the Importance of Self-Care & Boundaries Speaker: LeslieGrace Craver, Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Mental Health Clinician, Reiki Master, Crisis Counselor, RYT-200, Energy Healer, Grief & Life Transition Coach, Experiential Workshop Facilitator.
LeslieGrace utilizes Mind-Body-Spirit Integrative therapies, tools and practices with individuals, couples, families, and groups moving through life transitions, grief & loss and traumas. Her life experience in concert with her professional experience has culminated in an ability to serve individuals and groups as they seek self-awareness, healing and fulfill their desire to move forward to discover and uncover dreams and passions. Her husband of 38 years received a Parkinson’s diagnosis 8 years ago. In her journey as a care partner she has incorporated many of the tools and practices she shares with clients. Among the most important are developing a healthy self-care routine and compassionate boundaries. LeslieGrace facilitates several psychosocial support groups including groups for care partners and individuals with chronic illness. Hannah Grassie, MS, CCC-SLP is a clinician in Virginia and has practiced in settings including special education in schools, skilled nursing facilities, continuing care communities, home health care, and outpatient therapy since 2010. Her primary clinical interest is Parkinson’s disease, and she serves as a patient advocate through volunteer work in her community through local and national organizations. Hannah is the founder and blog author of The Parkinson’s Report, an online resource and blog for the Parkinson’s community to gain easily navigable resources on relevant topics to their care. Online Meeting Start Times Starting in January 2021, all Side by Side Support groups and Café meetings will now start at 10am EST. Length of meetings will now be 90 minutes (10am-11:30am EST).
